Zane Hall has recorded his sixth win of the season at Saturday night's Monster Energy Coffs Harbour Invitational, moving into the No. 1 spot in the 2026 PBR Australia National Standings.

The 2-for-2 showing at the Showgrounds marked the Athol bull rider’s fourth win from six starts over the past 7 weeks, with a total score of 167.90 points and a $6,250 prizemoney payout.

Hall opened his night with a qualified ride aboard debut bull Gyppo (MC Bucking Bulls), finishing fourth in Round 1. The clock was initially stopped at 7.87 seconds, as the bull’s quick spin to the left gradually brought Hall unstuck. A rider challenge confirmed he had made the whistle, and an 81.70-point score was awarded.

The 24-year-old then became the first rider to conquer Road Rage (Dittmann Bucking Bulls), snapping the bull’s 19-out buck-off streak and adding 86.20 points to split the Round 2 win. The bull threw plenty at Hall - faking left, turning back to the right, backing up, and ramping up the intensity late - but couldn’t unseat him.

The performance boosts Hall’s season riding percentage to over 50%, with his recent form line reading 12-from-15 with an average ride score of 84.29 points.

Heywood’s Sam Woodall finished second at the event after he shared the Round 2 win with Hall. His 86.20 points came via BJ (K3F – Farley Bucking Bulls), with the bull backing out and continuing spinning into his hand at the gate.

Kurt Shephard finished in third place. The Mareeba champion responded to the pressure with a gem of a bull ride, matching Maisy Mouse (ST Bucking Bulls) jump for jump, and was marked 85.30 points in the second round.

Rylee Ward also did his job in Round 2, converting Little Scar Maker into 84.80 points. The Kiwi looked in great form, with the bull spinning away from his hand, finishing in fourth place. 

The Round 1 win went to Dingo’s Bailey Woodard, whose 84.40-point ride on Mood Swing (Dunne Bulls) secured a top-five event finish. 

Willow Tree’s Clint Glass finished second in the opening round, combining with Cohens Tequila (Dittmann Bucking Bulls) for 83.40 points, which placed him sixth overall. 

Quirindi cowboy Ashton Sweeney finished seventh with 82.80 points for his ride aboard Holy Poly (MC Bucking Bulls), while Oberon’s Jack Rowlandson continued his solid run of form, finishing eighth with 82.70 points on Last Confession (Maynes Bucking Bulls). 

Ninth place went to Tamworth talent Daniel Rogan, who scored 82.50 points on Mighty Mouse (ST Bucking Bulls). Bungundarra’s Thomas Triplett finished tenth on the leaderboard with 81.30 points on Asmodeus (Swain Cattle Company).

With his event title, Round 1 placing and Round 2 win, Zane Hall added 262 points to his season tally, moving him back to the No. 1 spot on the 2026 PBR Australian National Standings Leaderboard. He now has 2238 points and leads by 35 points.

Kurt Shephard slips back to the No. 2 spot despite adding 116 points from his third-place finish. That extends the gap between him and third-ranked Keny Roger de Oliveira to 354 points.

Oliveira withdrew from the second round after dislocating his knee in his Round 1 matchup. We will need to monitor his recovery over the next few weeks. He is now 389 points behind Hall.

Sam Woodall’s runner-up finish netted him 163 points, pushing him above the 1000-point mark and leaving him with a slight chance of entering the gold buckle conversation. He jumps two spots to 4th on the leaderboard, 1188 points behind Hall.

With his sixth-place finish, Clint Glass earned 64 points, moving up two spots to 5th place.

We didn’t see much movement around the Grand Finals cut line this weekend, but Daniel Rogan (28th) and Bailey Woodard (35th) both made strong pushes towards qualification.

The standout from the Coffs Harbour Invitational bull pen was Stetsons Nirvana, who improved on his season average with a hard-fought 43.90-point victory in Round 2 against Rylee Ward. 

The Dittmann Bucking Bull displayed all the traits that make him the top-ranked bucking bull in the country during the 5.67-second trip. He now has a best-six average of 43.92 points, up from 43.86 points.

The next-best bulls in Coffs Harbour were all marked 42.00 points by the judges – Humdinger and Road Rage (Dittmann), and BJ and White Nite (K3F).
