Keny Roger de Oliveira and Ky Borghero shared top honours at the 2026 Caboolture Invitational on Saturday night, each going 2-for-2 in front of a packed crowd at the Queensland State Equestrian Centre.

Both riders picked up their third PBR Australia Tour wins of the season, finishing tied on a total score of 167.10 points.

Oliveira started his night with a workmanlike 80.50-point ride on Battle of the Roan (Ruhland Ranch Bucking Bulls). The Sao Paulo bull rider made light work of the bull after it turned back into his hand, finishing Round 1 in eighth place.

The 33-year-old drafted Mooseys Moto Moto (MJ/Keliher Bucking Bulls/McGuire) in the Championship Round and made no mistakes, capitalising on the bull turning back to the left and into his hand to post 86.60 points. Oliveira became only the second rider to cover the bull in his twenty-nine trips in PBR Australia competition and finished second in the round.

Borghero began his event with an 81.30-point ride on Harley Boy (MJ/Keliher Bucking Bulls), finishing sixth in the opening round. The 21-year-old stuck on solidly after the bull followed the gate, spinning to the right initially before reversing into his hand in the closing seconds.

The Proserpine young gun confidently picked Mr T (Dittmann Bucking Bulls) in the Championship Round draft, and the bull delivered his customary trip to the right with excellent timing. Borghero maintained strong position, riding away from his hand, and countered the bull’s late reversal to the left, scoring 85.80 points for a top-three round finish.

Oliviera picked up $5,1000 in prizemoney, while Borghero added $4,800 to his season total.

Clint Glass took full advantage of a second-chance opportunity to finish third in the event. The Willow Tree bull rider reached the Championship Round on buck-off time and became the first rider to cover Hancock (Dunne Bulls). They battled it out to the right and into Glass’s hand for 87.40 outstanding points, winning the final round.

Fourth place went to Luke Parkinson, who converted a favourable matchup against Roam Aviation Without Warning (Dunne Bulls) into the Round 1 win. The Denman talent collected maximum points with an excellent 86.40-point ride after the bull turned right and into his riding hand. 

Rounding out the top 5 was Alison Aguiar. The Brazilian overcame mid-ride challenges to combine with Last Post (Dunne Bulls) for 85.50 points, riding into his hand.

Oberon cowboy Jack Rowlandson handled Ariat Last Strike’s (Dunne Bulls) fake to the right before finishing strong into his hand, scoring 83.60 points to finish sixth.

Athol’s Zane Hall continued his stellar run through the back end of the season, making light work of Bar Tender (MC Bucking Bulls) for 83.50 points, while Tamworth’s Daniel Rogan finished hot on his heels with 83.40 points aboard Aussie Gangster (CF7 Bucking Bulls).

Walcha’s Tyson Smith was awarded 82.10 points in his re-ride aboard Jackie Red (Dunne Bulls), and Mareeba’s Kurt Shephard was 81 points away from his hand on Dr Pepper (MC Bucking Bulls) to fill tenth place on the leaderboard.

Keny Roger de Oliveira has moved back into second place in the 2026 PBR Australian National Standings, and he now sits 287 points behind ratings leader Kurt Shephard. The gap to No. 3-ranked Zane Hall is just 7 points.

Ky Borghero made a strong charge up the leaderboard, moving from 15th to 10th place.

With their top 5 finishes, Clint Glass moved up one spot to eighth place, Luke Parkinson leaped from 35th to 26th, and Alison Aguiar rose two places to the No. 12 spot.

Bucking Bull of the Year leading contender Stetson Nirvana, representing the Dittmann Bucking Bulls team, picked up his fifth YETI Bucking Bull of the Night award of the season. He was awarded a bull score of 43.30 points in his 4.74-second matchup against Daniel Rogan in the Championship Round.

Airborne (CF7 Bucking Bulls/Pugh) and Hancock (Dunne Bulls) shared second place on the leaderboard, with bull scores of 43.20 points in the Championship Round.

There was no major movement at the top of the leaderboard in the 2026 Bucking Bull of the Year race, as the top four bulls failed to improve on their top six bull scores for the season.

With 12 qualified rides, the cowboys ended the night well above the season average, with a riding percentage of 34.29%, while the bulls also finished more than a quarter of a point above their season average, at 41.73 points.

The Monster Energy Tour returns to New South Wales for a three-week run of events, beginning with two nights of action at the 2026 Hawkesbury Invitational on 4-5 September.
