Zane Hall has won his fourth PBR Australia event of the season, going 2-for-2 on a challenging night for the cowboys at the 2026 Adelaide Invitational on Saturday night in front of a capacity crowd at the Entertainment Centre.

On a night that featured plenty of great rides and brutal wrecks, the Athol cowboy was unmatched. He was the only rider to record two scores, finishing with an aggregate of 169 points, which moved him into the No. 2 ranking on the 2026 PBR Australian National Standings leaderboard.

Hall was the first bull rider to make the whistle in Round 1, avenging his previous defeat to Booga Wooga (Lazy G Bucking Bulls) with an 84.20-point ride. As he did in their 7.45-second matchup at Brisbane in June, the bull turned back to the right, away from the 24-year-old’s hand.

He then conquered another rarely ridden bull in Round 2, Kinky Ninja (Keliher Bucking Bulls), for 84.80 points. This was also a rematch, with the bull winning in quick time at Cairns in July. On this occasion, Hall handled everything the bull threw at him, riding into his hand not far from the latch.

It was a huge night for Hall, who not only picked up $12,800 in prizemoney from his round and event winnings, but also won an additional $10,000 bonus after finishing as the best-performing bull rider across the 2026 Melbourne and Adelaide Invitationals, with three qualified rides across the four rounds of competition.

Thomas Triplett produced one of the great PBR Australia rides, finishing the 2026 Adelaide Invitational in second place. The Bungundarra young-gun synced up with Splintas Man Glitter (Morgys Cattle Company) for a massive 89-point bull ride to win Round 2, with the bull turning back to the right and into his hand. Triplett’s share of the score was an almost flawless 46 points, with the bull marked 43 points.

Filling the final step on the podium was Ben Bode, who won Round 1 aboard Twist & Shout (Dunne Bulls) with 85.90 points. The pair had met up three times previously in PBR Australia competition, with the bull winning all prior bouts. The Calliope talent made no mistakes on this occasion, hanging tough to reach the bell to become the first left-hander to ride time on the right spinning bull.

Kelsey Pavlou handled the direction change of the high-flying Mr Inbetween (Australian Western Sports) for 84.50 points to finish the night in fourth place. Their Round 1 clash was a rematch from last weekend in Melbourne, where the bull unseated the Toora cowboy in 1.76 seconds.

Finishing in fifth place was Caiden Sandilands, who rode Coloured Past (Australian Western Sports) for 83.70 in the opening round. The bull began his trip to the right before reversing into the Rockhampton bull rider’s hand.

Kiwi Rylee Ward ended the night in sixth following his 83.30-point effort aboard Alcatraz (CF7 Bucking Bulls/Pugh), with Luke Parkinson close behind on 83.20 points. The Denman talent’s score came in a re-ride opportunity aboard Danger Mouse (Morgy’s Cattle Company).

Keny Roger de Oliveira was the eighth and final rider to post a score. The Brazilian was marked 80.40 points aboard Hillbilly Bandit (Lazy G Bucking Bulls/Provost).

With his event win, Zane Hall moved from third to second in the 2026 PBR Australian National Standings, and his 254-point haul trimmed No. 1-ranked Kurt Shephard’s lead in the Gold Buckle race to 319 points.

With their event placings and round-winning rides, Thomas Triplett and Ben Bode both moved up five places to twelfth and thirteenth, respectively. 

Caiden Sandilands was the other big mover, edging clear of the bubble spot and into 16th place.

Last Post did it again in Adelaide for the Dunne Bulls team, picking up his second YETI Bucking Bull of the Night in as many weeks. He was awarded a bull score of 43.70 points in his scintillating 4.94-second matchup with Ethan Coster in the second round. The score pushes Last Post into second place in the 2026 Bucking Bull of the Year race.

Morgy’s Cattle Company’s Sky High extended his buck-off streak to 25 riders with a 43.30-point trip against Caiden Sandilands, finishing with the second-highest bull score of the night. The clock stopped at 1.79 seconds.

The next five bulls were separated by just 0.2 points on a tight leaderboard. Airborne (CF7 Bucking Bulls/Pugh) and Winchester (MJ/Keliher Bucking Bulls) were both marked 43.10 points. Splintas Man Glitter (Morgy’s Cattle Company) and Dark Side (Keliher Bucking Bulls) tied on 43.00 points, and Alpha Blokes Warden (MJ/Keliher Bucking Bulls) scored 42.90 points.

The cowboys finished well behind the season average riding percentage at 19.15%, while the bulls enjoyed the firm surface, coming in a fraction above the season average at 41.71 points.
