Clint Glass covered two of his three bulls at the 2025 Hawkesbury Invitational to record his second event win on the PBR Australia Monster Energy Tour this season in front of an enthusiastic crowd at the Hawkesbury Showgrounds.
When PBR Australia competition resumed two weeks ago, the Willow Tree Cowboy was ranked 14th on the National Standings leaderboard, but following his runner-up finish at Caboolture, and event win here at Hawkesbury, he has bounded into 3rd place in the rankings. If he can maintain this momentum over the coming weeks, Glass could find himself entering gold buckle conversations.
The 31-year-old opened his account in Friday night’s opening round with a textbook 83-point ride aboard Crackin Tins (MC Bucking Bulls). He then converted his strong start into a competitive aggregate score when he covered Vanilla Ice (MC Bucking Bulls) in a re-ride opportunity for 82 points in Round 2 on Saturday.
Heading into Saturday’s Championship Round draft, Glass sat atop the event leaderboard, and with the No.1 pick, he selected Man Glitter (Morgys Cattle Company).
Qualified rides were challenging to come by for the cowboys in the final round, and Dan Ruhland was the only rider to post a score in the Championship Round, but it was not enough to surpass Glass’ combined score of 165 points from the long rounds. With victory secured, Man Glitter got the better of Glass in 4.52 seconds and was marked 42.5 points in the final out of the event.

Dan Ruhland produced the best Monster Energy Tour result of his career with a 2-for-3, 164-point effort to fill the runner-up spot behind Glass.
The Mount Walker talent covered Honey Hole (Lazy G Bucking Bulls) in Round 1 for 82 points. He then produced the lone score of the Championship Round aboard Aus Can Murphy (Diamond A/Bennett Cattle Company) with 83 points awarded.
Splitting third place were Kurt Shephard and Caiden Sandilands, who both posted two-bull totals of 163.5 points.
Shephard made light work of Crooked Intentions (Morgys Cattle Company/Wildcard) for 79.50 points on night one. The Mareeba bull rider then set the tone for Saturday night’s performance with a round-winning 84-point ride aboard On Bail (Swain Cattle Company) in the opening out.
Sandilands opened his weekend with an 81.5-point trip aboard Thickshake (MC Bucking Bulls). The Rockhampton cowboy then combined with Midnight Special (Diamond S Bucking Bulls) for 82 points on night two.
Heywood’s Sam Woodall was the best-placed rider with one score and finished fifth in the competition. He took home maximum points and prize money from Round 1 after he produced a great 84.5-point ride away from his hand aboard Checkmate (Morgys Cattle Company).
Kiwi Champion Rylee Ward was sixth on 83 points after he combined with Even Up (Morgys Cattle Company) in Round 2, and Quirindi bull rider Ashton Sweeney covered Uppercut (Maynes Bucking Bulls) in the same round for 82.5 points to finish his maiden event in seventh.
Brumby Brandenburg and Bryn Francis completed the rundown in eighth and ninth with 81 points and 79.5 points, respectively.

With his third-place finish, No. 1-ranked Kurt Shephard extended his lead over No. 2 Luan Crystian Camara on the National Standings Leaderboard by a further 141 points.
The Brazilian bull rider is in danger of losing contact with Shephard, with the gap now sitting at 561.83 points, which equates to over two single-day event clean sweeps. Camara has ridden just one bull for a 10th-place finish at the four events held since Origin III in Sydney, while Shephard has ridden six bulls for four top-6 finishes over the same period.
Despite his big jump up the standings into the No.3 spot, event winner Clint Glass is still 1001.33 points adrift of Shephard, with Matheus Lima dos Santos, Rylee Ward, and Zane Hall all tightly bunched close behind.
The other big mover in the standings this week was Dan Ruhland, who jumped from 39th in the standings to sit just outside the Grand Finals cut line in 23rd.

Night Train (Diamond S Bucking Bulls) and Man Glitter (Morgys Cattle Company) were also impressive, posting 42.5 points apiece in their short round matchups.
