With two straight weekend's of PBR Australia TPD action from one end of the Australian East Coast to the other, it was two young-guns who collected belt buckles at Toowoomba and Bendigo across the past fortnight.

First up was a trip back to the Toowoomba Showgrounds for the PBR Meatstock TPD event, after the inaugural event went off with a bang in 2023. The three day event across Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights showed the bovine power that the PBR Australia stock contractors possess, with the animal athletes dominating across the event for a combined 7-from-79 (8% riding percentage).

Ben Bode was able to cover multiple bulls across the weekend, firstly gaining 81-points on Wild Force (Ruhland Ranch Bucking Bulls) on a nice trip away from the southpaw's hand to grab a third place finish on night one, which was taken by Bryn Francis who has able to drag 83 points out of Rifleman (BK Bucking Bulls)

The Calliope Cowboy Bode would also find the whistle during the last round of the weekend on Sunday, taking Wallace Bucking Bulls' Superlicious to the promised land for an impressive 85-point trip for his 2nd qualified ride away from his hand for the weekend to take the event win with an aggregate of 166 points.

Lachlan Richardson was the only other cowboy to cover more than one bull during the event, booking himself a trip to the pay window in 2nd place across the event, getting it done in Round 1 (81 points on White Sports Coat) and Round 2 (81 points on Pretty Boy).

It was fellow Central Queenslander Boston Leather who was able to earn his second event win of the season down in Victoria, when the PBR Tour Pro circuit rolled into Goldfield's region for 2024.

Leather was able to make the most of his Round 1 re-ride opportunity, going 86.5 from his eight second effort on board Morgys Cattle Company's Even Up to share the night one lead with former PBRA champion Cody Heffernan, who was earmarked the same grade from the judges for his qualified ride on Midnight Special (Diamond S Bucking Bulls)

Come Sunday evening it was a Round 2 to forget for the Cowboys, with Beau Willis' 83.5-point score sharing a chute with Nifty (John Gill & Sons) the only score before the Short-Go, the bovine power was evident at the Bendigo Showgrounds.

Having drawn Man Glitter from Morgy's Cattle Co, Boston has his work cut out on the final out of the evening in hopes of becoming only the second rider to ever conquer the star bovine and thats exactly what the young-gun was able to do, taking the animal athlete into his hand for an 85-point tally and the event win to go with it.

Leather now sits on 206.5 PBRA points and is on top of the standings, with Ben Bode 49.5 pts back on 157.5 and Lachlan Richardson rounds out the top 3 with 135 PBRA points across the season thus far. The PBRA circuit will now head to Winton for the 2nd year of the BAD festival from the North-Western QLD town on April 5th and 6th.
